Do you mean when does it start to leak? Someplace over twenty, beyond what the engine can live with.
I'd like to know what manual you may have seen it in.

NOSLO2PT0 said:Stock wastegate spring pressure is right around 9psi.
NOSLO2PT0 said:Oh, and the stock 1G BOV starts to leak around 17psi. Starts opening at 14" of vacuum, but I may be mistaken on that.
It can if you crush it.endlessMyk said:I thought the stock 1g BOV could handle more than that...
dbritt said:Thanks, but wouldn't this mean that stock boost is only set at 9psi? I thought stock 1g boost was 11.5. 1000q.dsm.org says that it's anywhere from 8-12psi on 1g's. (Which would make either of us be right).
I guess a better question to ask would be:
Am I correct when thinking that the wastegate "setting" is equivalent to the boost I run? (in a stock system)
or even
What's the lowest boost I could ever hope to run with a 1g wastegate?
