Saskatoon,
I bought a 1990 engine out of a salvage yard and this is the oil filter housing it came with. It sure doesn't look like the air to air housing that should have been on it, but it also doesn't look like the water cooled one thats on my 93 ES. The car it came off was a 1990 TSI FWD. Anybody seen these??

That is a standard water cooled 91+ 6bolt oil filter housing.

For whatever reason, the 90 engine didnt have the standard air cooler .... someone probably sold it and put that one on.

Your 93 ES isnt turbo, so it wont have one of these.

Ehm..many nts had oilcoolers and oilsquirters.. so.. yeah,

If the oilcooler is working, use it or give it to me :)

I have a water cooled on my 93 with a 7bolt. I have it currently on my 6 bolt. Might be a 1gb thing.

I would like to see some proof of this statement. Every N/T I've ever said or heard of didn't have oil squirters and didn't have an oil cooler.
