I've been searching and can't find anything other than years the thrusts change on the motors. I have a 96 spyder gst an I pulled the motor an took out the crank, and I had a three piece thrust in it. I know from reading that it shouldn't be that one. Here are two pics of my motor's upper mains can anyone comfin what kind I need before buying them? Thank you.

The engine may have been swapped out , that is why you have the split thrust.

Post a pic of the girdle, also run the numbers on the back of the block to check the build date by the factory.

Here's the girdle. I'm still looking for the block info all I've found so far is 2a15. Although it does have a 95-96 head on it.

The VIN will be on your block.
Turn the engine so that it would be right side up as if you were putting back into the car.
Now on the side that your tranny bolts up to there is a spot on the upper left hand corner it will be flat and have your VIN there.

Here is an example. This is from my block.

Not that I know of.
But if it had the 3 piece you definitely need to put 3 piece back in.
That is the better design anyways. Means it's out of a 98 or 99.

Ok, one more question then. How do put those in? I mean like alinging it, is there any special way? An how do the thrust washers stay in place?

They just sorta hang in there. A dab of heavy grease on the back of the washer then mash it on the block.

You will see that the center main the has a shelf they fit in. Then the thrust face of the crank along with the main girdle hold them in place.

BTW, make sure you face the washers the correct way. steel backing goes on the block.

I have had 2 come into the shop with the washers backwards, and junk the crank
