2G What is this Sensor for?

I think it may be the aftermarket egt sensor? I only say that because this car came with a bunch of gauges installed and the EGT never worked.

I would say it is an EGT sensor. My old cummins had one that looked like that.

I always had mine in the number 1 runner in the manifold. Honestly though, I rarely ever looked at it. So it made it worthless. If you're going to do any kind of tuning, I would definitely get a wideband.

Wideband in my opinion is better for tuning. U can also ditch the O2 sensor altogether and simulate with link. Makes tuning easier since your comparing afrs.

EGT tuning is better off for more long term IE road race tuning. I doubt it does much for autocross since we're on/off with the throttle so much.
