Before people go militant on me...I am not really a newb. I am not 17. I am 30. I have had the car for quite a while, I just have never posted on Tuners before. I did a search. I read. A LOT. Nothing really answers my concern.
I am getting a CEL 31 code: Which my logger says is knock sensor. Now, on the list of CELs, the 0331 code is for "P0331 Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 2)"

Background:
Now, I recently had a very reputable DSM shop install an excellent condition JDM 6 bolt into my March 92 built car. Previous to this, I did not have a CEL for knock, although I did have some PK.
I do still get PK from time to time. This particular code was only thrown after a hard launch on gravel. At the time I was not logging. I cleared it and it came up again after a couple minutes. I cleared it again and I haven't seen it since. I still do get some PK still around 2500-3400 while cruising -- it does not throw this code. I am not that concerned about this since it has never thrown a code before. My logs show that O2s are between 0.89 and 0.91 at WOT in and out of boost. Since it has been hot, my timing has been pulled after my stock SMIC gets heat soaked.
I have not been able to replicate the event yet.
My question is: what exactly does that P0331 mean? Does it mean that it is completely faulty, or that it was seeing an unusual knock event?
