I've seen it said that ~18 degrees is what the ECU on our cars would like to see at 7k WOT. I've also seen that more is better. My car has reached 24 degress depending on the pull/log. Should I continuously be aiming for higher advance?

Any background information would be appreciated, thanks.

Follow up: I just read a thread over at DSMtalk. Apparently this dude named Andre, made 503awhp on a 50 trim variant from AGP.
But what was really interesting was that his timing was ZERO. He was using 93 octane pump gas.

I'd also be interested in the philosphy behind his results, considering they are conflicting with many others including my own.

I'll see if I can dig up the thread, if I recall L2RTSiAWD, commented in the thread.
