ok so I have been trying and trying to fiqure out why my car won't start for the first time after my rebuild with very little luck. heres whats going on, I'm only getting spark on 2 cylinders I Know it's not the coil pack. I rotate the crank by hand and listen for the fuel injectors and spark.
For one revolution on the intake cam I get four sets of spark and fuel, only on 2 cylinders though...nothing on the other two. this seems wiered to me because I would assume that in one revolution of the cam you would get 2 sets of spark for 2 cylinders and another 2 sets for the other cylinders. if this is correct what is going on? why would I get 4 sets of spark to two cylinders but none to the others? Sorry if this is hard to follow, I'm very frusterated!
Ok so here is some info: origanally had a bad CAS but replaced it with a new on. I have a 96 TSI so the CAS is on the inside of the intake cam I origanaly noticed when replacing the CAS that one of the viens on the cam that travels through the CAS was slightly bent and possibly rubbing against the sensor ( the old one), but then I was abile to bend it back to place, and I'm pretty sure it's not rubbing on the new on
I really hope I can get some help here cause I'm at a loss of what to do THANKS,
derek
