Hi, I have picked up a 95 talon tsi. Right now it has a spun bearing so I need to rebuild the bottom end, and the head has a hole in it so it too needs to be replaced.
My question is this. I plan to have this tsi running atleast a 14b maybe a 16g at 18-21psi with full boltons and maybe cams. Should I just install all the parts now while everything is apart? I can either return it to stock with the rebuild or I can put on all the performance parts while everything is apart. My thought is this though, I have never done anything like this before. Would it be more trouble to get the car running properly if I put on bolt ons likes a 14b and cams? I just don't want more trouble getting it to operate optimally. What would you suggest for someone is is not knowledgeable with rebuilds?
