What is up guys. I have got a 95 awd and im looking to upgrade this summer. I wanted to know what you suggest to be some good parts i need to aquire before putting on the buschur racing 20g? I do have the funds and would like to be running in the 12's. My current mods are:
smic
greddy type-s bov
apex n1 cat and down pipe
greddy profec b spec 2
intercooler piping done by passen motorsports
air/fuel ratio and boost guage by autometer

so what do you think i should do?

thanks
pj

some bigger injectors and a fuel pump and regulator would proably be ur next thing and a safc but u will need a front mount down the road

how much psi would i be able to run daily and on high with just that stuff? would i need to change some stock internals to run higher?

you might want to get a front intercooler too b/c the stock intercooler will not take that long to get heatsoak. I would get 660cc injectors and a s-afc.

you could run 15psi on it safely i think as a daily driver

thanks man another question is im am taking my head apart sometime soon becuase i have a blown head gasket . What u guys suggest doing while i have the head apart to be ready for a good 20 lbs on that br 20 g?

thanks
pj

Well the head job will cost you around 500-1600 depending on what you want done. I would recomend SS valves, bronze valve gides, new seals, intake pocket porting and some exhaust pocket and runner work.
This is exactly what I am having done by forester racing heads there in illinois and I am just running a ported B16g. I dont need all this but taking the head off sucks so I thought just do it once and be done with it.
A metal head gasket and ARP studs are also needed with that turbo. The OEM HG will work but the metal hg can take more boost abuse that you will be putting to it. The Cometic and the mitsu HG are good choises
That 20g is a nice size turbo that can cause some damage if not tuned properly so be carefull with your fuel system and controls you chose.
I would go with a bigger injector like a 750 or bigger so you have some room to tune it with and not have it maxed out. An SAFC will be fine with a 2g mass. 255hp hardwired FP, Fuel pressure regulator.
You will defenetly need a nice front mount to prevent knock.
You will need all of this before you can run that turbo over 15 psi.
I hope you have deep pockets to support your addiction
or buy a money tree like the one I have at my house.

thanx for replying but this might a stupid question. What site or place do u rec. to get those parts you named off? I am starting this weeknd so i would apperciate the reply if you decide to?

thanks
pj

There are about 50 companies out there that will help you out. Buschurracing.com, Slowboyracing.com, turbotrix.com, are a couple to get yourself in trouble with.

you might want to cosider getting a 1g head. they flow better stock for stock so you can save some money on portwork there. just get the basics; valve guides and just reuse the valves if you can and get a mitsu metah HG and arp head studs, you dont have to go overboard especially for 12's. i dont see what the big deal is with ss valves and aftermarket valve springs when you have stock cams, you are not going to have to wind the motor past 8500 anyways. look into a keydiver chip as well to compensate for your larger injectors so it will be easier to tune with a safc, too big of injectors and you could go out of the safc's range of ajustment with no chip but you could play it safe with 660's and just a safc and afpr. you are gonna need more fuel, you should rework your lines from the fuel filter to the return complete with a better flowing filter and an afpr. dont forget about a fuel pump. you are gonna need a clutch for a 20g. you will need a fmic as well.
dont forget about the price of a timing belt job in there too while you have everything off. you might as well get rid of the balance shafts while you are at it too. but this is just how i would do it.

with all of this said and the money involved, it might be a good idea to go larger than a 20g just because you can with these upgrades. good luck and i hope you have a lot of money and can do the work yourself because that would mean a lot more money. :dsm:

Did you guys read the part where he says he only wants to run 12s. He doesn't need a bigger turbo than a 20g and he certainly doesn't need head work for christ sake.

yeah, thats true, i guess when i read all the threads combined i thought he said his current head was ####ed up or something. my bad. 12's would be easily obtained with a 20g but now adays you can do it easily with a evo 3 16g.
