What exhaust to buy?

Just looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 91 gsx. Looking to upgrade to about a 3 inch. What is a good muffler or entire system? I want better flow, than stock. Trying to not break the bank.

I just installed a custom 3" mendrell bent turboback with open dump + cat highflow, i really like it. It make a huge difference from the stock exaust

The sound on cruise is deeper but not that loud, but at wot: !

I had a full 3 inch and at WOT I was highly annoyed

Open dumps give me a headache. Sounds like an AC130 gunship under the car whenever the wastegate opens. Which, unless your running something much larger than stock, is all the frickin time.

So quick question to the fans of Thermal R&D. Does the exhaust bring much unwanted attention? I'm considering dropping the cash on one at the ends of this week but my bro insists that Staties will pull me for having a modified exhaust ($50 fine in Mass.) I want an exhaust that's going to sound deeper and sportier but not something that is obviously aftermarket so that I'll paint a target on the back of my car and become a cop magnet haha.

I have a punishment racing o2 housing and downpipe and a megan test pipe and 3" catback. people hear me coming for blocks and you can really hear the spool, even on a 14b. getting a forced performance manifold this week as well

I got a Megan on my 2g gsx and it sounds good at idle and good at high rpm (not like ricer Honda) and it does good work for me!
