what do you think about the exotic speed 20g turbo?

i just bought a exotic speed 20g turbo they clame its beter than the MHI 20g. whats do you think? if you have one let me know how its working out for you?

I hope you didn't buy that one, it isn't even flanged right... I personally wouldn't buy a turbo off ebay especially for that much. You could get a real nice one from one our vendors on the site and know your getting quality product with good tech support. just my input

well my freind bought it right before i bought his car from him i had it on for less than 2 day less than 50 miles on runing 8pounds of boost taking it easy and this happend

Thanks for the correct answer. The link in the auction definitely looks like a subaru flanged turbo, being that it also states that it's similar to an IHI turbo. Oh and for $800 like the one in the auction, you can buy yourself a nice 16G/50trim/ used 20g / etc, so you know it works.

flandges are all correct for direct bolt on but they were supose to send the MHI 20g so im going to see if the will send me the right turbo now and if they dont im just taking the money and ill prly just buy a MHI big 16g

Um, that definitely is not a mitsu flanged turbo, but I'm glad you decided to go with a real E316G.

What about the rest of the Ebay Turbos the TD05's Big 16G and the T04E there only like 300 the most ??? thinkg there shit cause i was reading feed backs of the poeple at got there turbos and some DSMer's where on there sayign there happy with what they got along with honda kids too though.. so im lost u know I hear this... I hear that.. Plus everyones car is diff.. and poeple have diffent goals to so ... Im still lost ??? what u think?

This is going to turn into another "ebay turbos are shit" thread. So if anyone thinks about posting, you mind as well not, since it's going to be locked.

91whitegsx - it's best to read through every eBay turbo thread on here. There are many who have tried these turbos, have had mild success, and eventually blew the turbo, there are plenty who have had the turbo blow up / seperate/ lose locking nuts / etc upon startup. Morale of the story, get your own opinion on this, because no one wants to see yet another person dump $300 into an ebay turbo and report back with another store; whether good or bad.

I'm guessing you took that the wrong way. I only posted that for the would-be posters who are going to turn threads like these into flame wars, not you. The intent of my last post was to say that you should form your own opinion based on the history of these eBay turbos. I'd hate to see another "I bought this turbo and it blew up in 20 miles" type thing. Best to focus your hard earned cash in a good investment such as a true MHI turbo.

ditch the journal bearing and go dual ball bearing for that price.
