My brother found today a 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS Turbo,it got 98540 miles on it,the owner of the car is old laidy shes like 50-60 years old, i don't know why that age peoples still drive a performance car ))
the car is in really good shape ,paint looks like new (Red color), Black leather interior,runs realy good (no mods in it at all)
The Laidy want for the car 3500$ My question is :
Is that car worth tha kind of money?? what do you guys think???

Get it, good buy, but if i was selling my car which is almost bone stock, i would give it to my granny to sell, i would rather but a turbo dsm from an old lady than a teenager who has "a gas tank for a brain and nitrous running threw his veins" ~ f&f~..

Let me point something out real quick. I would far rather buy a car from someone who was young and LOVED a car than some old lady who just HAD the car. I am 21, i LOVE my car and i take excellent care of it, sure i get on it now and again, but just as importantly, every bit of maintenance is done on my car, done right and all recalls have been taken care of. Old ladies dont know crap about maintenance, they may have driven it slow for a year or more even, without as much as an oil change. People who dont know anything about cars or maintenance, dont do maintenance until something goes wrong.

10 bucks says she isnt spinning the tires everytime she pulls out from a traffic light. Running the car to red line every time before shifting. Driving around in 3rd gear all day because it SOUNDS cool in 3rd. Constantly letting off the gas pedal everytime she sees people along the road so they can hear the bov....you get the idea.

Younger people tend to run cars harder then old ladies. Sounds like a good buy to me.

That was frrrreakin crazy guys, shoot, my Brother went to do a test drive.First my Brother and that old laidy went down the road to check is everything with the car (my brother was driving) after that the Lady sit by the steering wheel,and she ran the car like teenager,i didn't believe it how can she still driving like that,she spins the wheels till fourth gear unbelievable ))

Back on topic, it sounds like a good buy, but I'd definitely get a feel for how she "usually" drives it..and as always check the maintenance receipts if they are available.

Kind of unfair to make that generalization...... I bought my car from an older lady (mid 30's, early 40's) and the car was IMMACULATE. She had records of everything and kept up with the maintenance as well.

Anyway, some people go around without doing any maintenance until something breaks, while some people keep up with the maintenance so they don't break down and get stuck somewhere. This goes for men and women.

Back in my autocrossing days there was a father and son that came out every month. The son was probably in his 30's, 40's maybe, so the father was really up there (70's, 80's, walked and moved realllly slow). Anyhow, they both drove some tiny VW powered car that really moved. Unless you saw which one was getting in the car you couldn't tell who was driving it! It was wierd seeing that old man flying around the course.

The reason us old people drive high performance cars is that we nolonger have a back seat full of kids to cart around to soccor, BB etc. We are now free to drive what we have been denied in the past. I've had to explain to young coworkers that I am not in a second childhood, I just like cars. As soon as my last two boys are through college I'm buying a red Corvette. Also, its hard for me to think of my wife as an 'old lady'. but I guess that's because that would mean I am an old man.
