No issue with the factory line for me really, but when installing my map sensors, I needed more vacuum ports and the only practical, quick way to do it was make a new booster line with an inline tap.

Hard to see in the pic, and it's not current, but my map sensors are next to the resistor box, and the lines run to an inline tap on the brake booster line on the back of the manifold, then a check valve between the inline tap and booster itself.

Rather than tap into lines that are best left alone, this is an option for adding a port without pulling the manifold. Finesse required.

I contemplated this, well done! Mostly due to time constraints and marginal benefits I opted for my solution (lazyness may have also played a part)...

In the future I will definitely change things, but for now there's nothing wrong with how it works. A hose is a hose, just happens to have a valve down the way.

Mostly the check valve I got wasn't up to par, makes me wonder if the Kynar ones are any better.

Found my car 'vandalised' by who I suspect are some friends of mine. The writing on the hood essentially translates to "belongs in the shop". She even grew a pair of eyelashes and turned into a Mercedes... Those rascals! She might have no engine in 'er right now, but I'll show 'em who's boss when the boost hits to the moon and back!!!

Fixed some wiring issues that caused the radio and the alternator to not function. Discovered tons of sketchy wiring and some old/cracked vacuum lines, still needs trans work but for $400 its looking better and better.

96 is obd2, right?

Are you throwing a code? If not then you would only fail emissions if the inspector looks for your missing componants and fails you.

If they do look then you will have to reinstall the egr and other vacuume lines.

I passed the "inspection" but here in colorado they still put it on the rollers and run that test too throwing no codes CEL has never come on im assuming they used link or another like product to get rid of it.I believe it has so id need to re install both for proper emissios control? I live in colorado and the inspector said my rear o2 has a constant 20mv reading suggested i replace the cat and adjust the fuel trim. But im assuming its because i have none of those installed? Failed bad nox and co are off the charts

If you dont have a cat, adding one would help you pass emissions.. most likely going to have to replace all those emission items..

Can you register it as a classic or vintage vehicle to avoid emissions?

Stripped it down for the new tail lights and cleaning everything out..

Question.. is it worth taking the wing off the hatch if it wiggles a little to try to put it back on right, or will I break it all and not be able to find the parts? Lol

Well Yesterday I got my Aim MXS Strada dash screen in. Also wired nitrous to Link g4+. Today swapped connectors on new harness, and started re-running vacuum lines to make way for the 4 port boost control.

got my coils wired in.

Interesting, alot going on with those coils! Though about rearranging them to have the wires short route down through the COP/plug cover? Just curious, nice looking setup regardless
