what did u guys do after crankwalk any tips

hey i think i got crankwalk and found a cheap 7 bolt with low miles and b/shafts out of it so i got it. What did most of u do after u guys got it?? any tips on puttin in my new bottom end ive took off the head before but not the block??? and tips will help thanks alot o yeah the reason i think i got crankwalk is because the clutch sticks down and when i jack it up on one side it done also knocks and stop boostn after a while and has low compression in 2 cyl

most people do not put a new 7-bolt when crankwalk happens. They move on to the better 6-bolt which can be found on 90-EARLY 92 DSMs

I'm sick of this "better" 6 bolt crap. If you got a good deal on the 7 bolt, throw er' in and be done with it. I myself plan on building a 2.3 7 bolt sometime when I get some money. Now accepting remarks of how stupid I am and how much better a 6 bolt would be.

i got 124k+ miles on my 7 bolt and have been boosting 20psi+ with aftermarkent clutch for the past 30k miles. no crank walk hear. this 7 bolt is getting rebuilt with some serious internals

i know alot of dsmers, and i know of one guy that had crankwalk. i know many more dsmers that have blown their motors. crankwalk is over rated.



if you do get crankwalk, you get a different motor

I got a 6-bolt... following the trend I guess. Why not? I got the whole engine for $350, threw 2g pistons in her. Now the question is... will it start when I turn the key? I'll let ya know in a couple days.

forget about crankwalk or you arent going emjoy the car. The firs motor went 7bolt but NOT to CW then i got a great deal on another 7 bolt and went with that . Shes still running like a champ

i have a 6bolt in my garage but it doesnt look like it ran to well it had low compression i got it in a deal i paid 200 for a 14b and that 6 bolt shortblock but i kinda rather put in a nice 7 bolt than a low/c 6bolt no tips on puttin 7bolt?? o yeah my car had 145k miles on it
