What cams should i buy?

I have 1992 year eclipse n/t and what cams are best for my car?How much HP i can get it?Does turbo cams fit in my car?Please,some help...thanks!

yes the turbo cams fit in your car, you have afew choices, personally id go oem check schucks or napa or any auto pars store. get the 93 turbo cams. the intake is the one thats different exhaust is the same. might as well do both at the same time so that they both have the same mileage. you could buy them used off ebay, but then again its up to you. basically from what i understand the 93 are the most aggressive but any from 92-94 will work.

the hks ones are $335 each and Require Modification For Cam Angle Sensor on the intake one from what the webpage says.

expected hp gain is something like 10-15hp but thats over the whole rpm range, so in actual effect you may only put 1-7hp more down in any given area but it would be in variouse areas of the powerband. hope this helps.

the 2nd gen n/t cannot use the turbo cams. they are different engines.

I don't suggest anything above #0012 unless you're going to replace lifters and retainers at the same time.

0010 is just for an intake? cause i didnt see any for exhaust.
0012 is looking perfect, but im not going for NOS is it ok?

I'm gona go nituos so would it be better to go with the 0012? Caould a still run nitruos with the 0010? and what kind of extra upgrades should i do if i want to get 0010? how much extra Hp do u think the 0010 will give over the 0012? thx any help wouod be greatly apperciated.

Crack is a bad drug to smoke. There is a lot of crack smoking going on in this thread.

I just want to clear up a few things here... This only relates to the 1G N/T... Not 420a.

(1). Best cams would be HKS 264 Intake Cam / Stock Exhaust Cam
(2). You can get HKS 264's for 268.00-300.00 and are worth every penny.
(3). There is no modification we needed to do when we put mine in.
(4). The difference between '93 and all other 1G cams are negligable. You wont go: " these 93 GSX cams pull SOOO much harder than my old '91 GSX cams!!!" You wont be able to tell a difference. Period.
(5). If you buy new cams for 241.00 I will smack you upside your head. I have a pair of '91 GSX cams that I am selling for 40 bucks. Same shit, 200 bucks cheaper.
(6). Turbo Intake Cam = 5-8WHP
(7). HKS 264 Intake Cam = 10-15WHP *Depending on supporting mods!*
(8). HKS never made a cam for 2G N/T's.

Obviously the HKS cam would be best but a turbo cam will give you similar results for 250.00 less. Your choice. Hope this clears everything up.

im personnally gonna get the whole top end kit from howell with crane 12's, new lifters lashers and valvesprings, cam gears and some other stuff. if your not turbo and dont plan on going turbo, get the 12's. the turbo 14's have the same intake but the exaust lift and duration isnt as much because with a turbo you dont want much overlap.

your going to get better performance from 12's over 10's. of course you can use 10's with nitrous, you can use stock ones cant you? 14's are made for turbos, they have the same intake cam but the exaust is shorter duration. they dont want overlap. with nitrous thats fine. if there all the same price, just get the 12's

If i am planing to go turbo, not in the real near future, but soon, should i just got with the 14's? would it hurt the car to run the 14's now with nitrous and no turbo?
