I just bought a remote oil filter system to run before the turbo, it came with a FRAM filter other than knowing i have to run the filter system before the turbo, im not sure what micro filter i should run, in relasionship to restriction and what not, let me know what you think or what you are running....

Fram also has 3 levels...standard, duraguard (or something like that), and toughguard (the one you want). The toughguard was actually designed with turbo motors in mind with a higher filtration rate and an antibackflow valve. It should be fairly close to a factory filter.

i think i found the filer im going to use, its a world parts (in germany) its an anti backfeed and 5 micron, the best part is its black, so a 5 micron filter wont restrict to much oil from going to the turbo then right?

Filter housing size does not correlate to filter size area. Cut open some old fitlers and see which one has the larger filtering element, you may be surprised. Make sure to get a filter with the anti-drainback valve. Also a magnetic "glove" that goes over the filter is a good idea, allowing metal in the oil to be held in the filter for removal later.

Check this site out. Puralator filters have the most filtering area, and Mobile comes up a second. And they both have anti-drain back valves.

:shhh:
