Im just curious what kind of timming people are running. I can't seem to get my base timming bellow 13 degrees (adv) at idle. Is that normal? These readings are from DSMlink. Im getting 32 degrees (adv) when im crussing, is this normal? Every thing seems a little high to me. However my TPS is beeing erratic too, and not always functioning properly. Will the tps change how much timming is given/pulled? Thanks.

How have you been checking your base timing? Have you. . .

1. Warmed your car up,

2. shut her down for about 30 seconds,

3. grounded your timing wire,

4. started her back up w/out a logger (don't reactivate dsmlink or anything. Make sure nothing is plugged in the diagnostics terminal)

5. and used a timing light to check timing?

With DSMLINK you don't need to ground anything physically, it can be done through dsmlink. You have to go into the Mis. menu and click Grnd Timing and Grnd Diag. I believe. You will see it in the Misc. menu. You need to have them both clicked. I have a 2g but i believe it is the same. Then check timing like usual.

Hope this helped

Yea just go into dsmlink and just like Kmiller86 said. I havn't retimed my car since i've installed dsmlink. that's been a while now. . .
