What are ARP headstuds and do I need them? I have a stock headgasket with about 7,000 miles on it from the rebuild. Im running 18-19psi on evoIII 16g with FMIC, tuned. Will I be ok to continue running this or is something going to happen? What re the ARP's exactly anyway? Thanks.

I have ARP Headstuds and love them. They replace your stock head bolts and make the installation of your head a lot easier. They are also stronger and if you're pushing the amount of boost you claimed;then I personally would recomend them. I also push 18psi on my 420a and I've never had a problem with using a stock mitsubishi head gasket. Hope that helped :)

Installing them (the correct way) would require you to remove your head again. From what I've read the stock headstuds are good to about 22 psi before you start to worry about lifting the head. I've run 24 psi on race gas before and never had a problem. I have a set of ARP studs sitting on my shelf but I'm waiting until I either blow the headgasket or get some cams so i only have to redo the timing once. :thumb:
