ah yea, i also filled the resovoir as well, that may contrbute to it turning off considering other threads similar to my problem......but it leaks badly from where it slides onto it's mount.. I'm assumeing it turned back on when it emptied itself.. I'll try getting another resivor..

there are 2 blue wires cut and hanging from the resivoir..So thats not it, There is another wire, that used to attached to a stud on the p/s pump, which was hanging lose when i cleaned my engine.. and filled the res, for coolant.. i'm sure that got wet.. temp sensor was corroded, i tightend and reattached after cleaning.. temps read more acurately, but check engine light is still on.. I'm trying to figure out what i did during the cleaning and fill..all i did was spray down the front side of the engine. Something being wet made it turn off.. So something is shorting, or not makeing a good connection. And is the reason the check engine light on my car wont turn off..

Man there are so many places where someone cut wires on this car, I'm surprised the thing even works right.. under the dash just behind the steering wheel those wires were cut.. but mostly attached correctly there are a few wires still not connected to anything.. I connect a y/blue and yellow with silver striping that broke up. to the corresponding wires and got my fuel gauge to work again.. theirs a red/black solid and a blue wire...not to sure about the colors at this time it's off the top of my head.. i'll correct myself later.. I can't find, and am unable to use the hayes manual to track these things down.. I had some scematics online i need to dig up again and post..

=c

i sprayed the front side of my engine.. it made the check engine light turn off...when it dried out...check engine light came back on...

I'm trying to go through possibilities for this happening.. the only things there that could get wet.. is the o2 sensor, temp sensor, fans, a/c pump (removed now) ps pump (also removed now)

OR... some wire in it's harness that has lost it's insulation, that i can't see.. and is getting wet.. completed the connection or fooled the computer for a moment in time..
