Ok, so weird problem going on here. First (I don't know if it has anything to do with the problem) is that if I back my idle screw out all the way, or put it in all the way, nothing changes...at all. The idle seems to sit somewhere between 750 (VERY clunky) and 1100. Now, what the problem is, is that there is NO power in the car. If i push the throttle to half, then it will rev right up to 6k no problem, but no matter where its revving at, as soon as I push the throttle to 100%, it drops down to 3k, and bounces between 3 and 4k. Timing is good on it (haven't checked with a light, but all the marks line up good), and I know its getting air/fuel (although it is running VERY rich, gave me a b*tch of a headache)...So, I'm kinda lost on this one, if you have any ideas, let me know. Thanks :talon:

turbo non, turbo would help vacuum leaks things like that to check for first. Bands tight around air intake system. test some stuff get back to us with results

Its a 90 TSi Turbo AWD. No boost leak or vacuum leak (i think on the vacuum), but I have pressure tested the intake, and no leaks. Haven't had a chance to do a compression check yet, so not sure there either.

i'd check the biss oring (they get brittle) for the idle adjustment problem, and possibly your tps for the other problem. you can look on vfaq, or search here for how to check your tps with a multimeter.

I was thinking it might be the TPS...or something in the ECU got seriously f'd up. I'm not getting a CEL btw. I'll check the TPS and let ya know what up with it.

Havent taking the throttle body out yet, but looking at the readings off the SAFC-II, it seems the sensors reading right, but I will take it off just to be sure. Also, I noticed that it might be a vacuum leak...took it out around the block and i noticed that no matter the RPM im not building boost, and my brakes seem a little weak. Anyway, with how rich its running its giving me a huge headache, so I need a break from it...Let me know if you guys come up with anything. Thanks =o D

Just thought I'd give an update, TPS, compression, and vacuum are fine, along with the ECU. Found the O2 sensor wasn't reporting right anymore, so I'm going to be replacing that on Thursday (payday yay :thumb: ) Got it to idle right and rev a little better (bouncing between 5000 and 6000 rpms) by going to -20% fuel all the way across. So yeah, just thought I'd shoot that out there.
