ok my car has been idling pretty weird lately, not sure why. I did remove the BOV hose that reconnects into the intake tube and i do not have a MAFT. could that be why it idles weird?

if im getting on it say 3rd then go to 4th and go to like 4-6rpm and then put it into N to just coast it wants to die or does die?

any ideas?

Yes your car is running weird because of the missing bov hose. Your ecu is measuring air through the mass airflow sensor. When you are dumping that measured air it throws off the tuning

I'd throw the bov tube back on, you'll regret it later on if you don't. Weird Idle will be the least of your worries.:banghead:

yeah i know, im going to be getting that tube in a day. and i do not have the clips that hold the air filter in place and i think there is a gap in where the air filter should sit flush and could it be sucking in more air?

Is the gap around the air filter or is it around where the mass air sensor connects to the turbo intake pipe?

Defiently make sure you recirculate your bov... And depending where the hole is, it could be causing your maf to misread.

its by the filter, just where it sits in place, i dont have those clips to hold it in postion before the mass sensor and i was thinking it might be sucking more air in.?
