It only does this when the check engine light comes on. And it won't always keep itself going, more often than not it just dies and instead of sitting there playing with the gas to keep it going I get annoyed and leave it off til the light turns. And I live in FL so it can't be due to cold weather. I would read the code but I just get a connection error.

well i had the same problem i had a vaccum leak and i think my egr valve is junk so i would get that checked out when your CEL(check engine light) pops on go to auto zone they'll scan it for you for free

did this just start happening? or is it more common when somethign happens like rain. When did you last change your fuel filter? Have you done a Vaccuum test? Also yes i would deffinently go to autozone and have them grab teh code for you.

Could be you Cam Angle Sensor, Or like mine, Crank Position Sensor. If it one of these two, lets hope it a cam angle, cause The CPS takes a while to get out and put in.

There's no specific time it happens. I've tried to have the code checked but it just says connection error and no amount of wiggling has worked. I was hoping to check out the wiring this weekend but it rained. I changed my fuel filter about a month ago and I'm a little worried about my pump but I'm trying to check all other possibilies first. I don't know how to check for a vacuum leak and my bf is too busy with his car atm. I really don't know how to check any of the sensors tbh. :ohdamn: I've only had this car for 2 months and I've had nothing but problems. It makes me sad but it looks nice so to me it's worth fixing. :)

if your worried about your fuel pump there is an easy check. Pull the two tabs on the bottom cushion of your rear seat, then pull it out. Then get in your car, put in the key, and turn it, but dont turn it on all the way, its the notch before it starts cranking i believe, you should here like a whirling sound, or something of the like coming from your back seat, that would be your fuel pump priming itself. Of course thats not a 100% garuntee everything with it is fine, but is a nice check to make sure it is semi-functional :)
