So I just got the car running yesterday. It starts up, idles great, and it sounds good even though the oil hasn't been changed in 2 years while it was sitting. I haven't really drove it much, planning to catch up on the maintenance this week. So I took it out today just around the block and every time I hit about 8-10psi it feels like it hits fuel cut.

Made a quick video of what it sounds like when this happens. I'm not really sure what to look for here. I've done boost leak test on it, leaking a bit out of the BOV port but not enough to cause this. Anyone have any ideas for me?

thats not fuel cut at all, fuel cut is really annoying and kicks 10X harder!

you know the first thing anybodies gonna say is to change that old oil, and
whats causing that bucking is contamination in your fuel (could be a series of things- old decomposed fuel, added waay to much fuel injector cleaner, water in the fuel) and the air/fuel ratio under boost makes it that much worst with that bad fuel, and last but not least a bad O2 sensor.

preferably flush the fuel system, or fill it up with good fuel and let it dilute the bad stuff, or keep driving with the same tank till almost bone dry, then fill with new fuel.

i agree 100% 2 year old fuel is your culprit it looses all octane and leaves hard amber stones that clog everything.

I must agree with the previous postings in regards to old oil and fuel etc...

Also, I experienced very similar symptoms when my TPS was on its' way out. Felt almost like fuel-cut even during partial throttle and low boost conditions. Hope you're able to track down the problem! Keep us posted.

Right on, thanks guys. The tank is nearly empty, I have no idea how long the fuel has been in it honestly. Tomorrow will be oil change day I suppose. I may also pull the o2 sensors and torch clean them. They're both fairly new but this car had some problems for the last 2 years, barely ran and dumped a lot of unspent fuel. They're surely coated with carbon. When I finally got it running the exhaust painted the ground/grass/curb black with carbon, it was pretty awesome.
