wats a good spring?

yea im a newbie and i was wondering bout the tien s-tech lowering springs if they were good or if anybody had any other good springs in mind please tell me and i was wonderin wat a camber kit was and wat does it do exactly and wat kind should i get.thanks in advance.

i was also wonderin wat the differnce is between a manual boost controller and an electronic boost controller and which is better, and same question for a boost gauge.

Those Tein S-Techs from eBay are actually very good springs, however, they dont lower the car as much as Intrax.

Camber kit corrects the negative rear camber you will get when you lower the rear wheels. Any camber kit will work.

Agreed, the Tein spings are nice. I bought a set for my wife's 97GST off of ebay and they gave her car the mean aggressive look she was looking for. As far as alignment, the shop didn't need any kits. They were able to dial in with the factory components.

I have manual boost controllers on both our DSMs in my household. They do the same job but the manuals cost less and I found other parts I could purchase with the money saved. Just make sure you buy a quality controller if its manual. On my 1g GSX I have a Hallman and my wife's car has a Dejon Tool.

Boost guages? Both our cars have the Autometer. I have the Phantom and my wife's has the Sport Comp series. I have had no problems with Autometer. In fact, I bought an EGT guage off of dsmtrader and once I recieved it, the kit was missing the bung to install on the manifold. I called Autometer just to get the part number and possibly purchase one, they sent the bung to me free of charge and it was in my mailbox in 2 days. Gotta love Autometer.

aye i juss wanted to say thanks, and i was wondering about the tein springs, was it a 1.3inch drop and does it look really low, also about the boost controller should i get it even tough my car is stock or should i purchase other parts before i get a boost controller?

a boost controller and boost gauge are great first mods to purchase, just make sure you get a boost gauge if you get the controller as the stock one doesnt really tell you much

Yeah, it lowered it about 1.3-1.6 inches. The rear dropped more than the front, but now it sits level. Just enough for the aggressive look, but not slammed. She has 17" rims and there is like a .3" fender well gap. Looks good.
