Having trouble finding any information on installing a new water pump. Can anyone point me in the right direction/adivce. Thanks

I haven't came across anything myself. Are you performing a timing belt swap or something? If so, follow the guide at: http://www.vfaq.com/ I used that for my timing belt swap and it was more than detailed enough. The waterpump was the easy part, it simply goes back on the same way you took it off (6 or 7 bolts I believe). If you purchased a replacement waterpump already, make sure you have the gasket and O-ring. If you still need the waterpump, go to www.slowboyracing.com I purchased my waterpump for around $50 and it came with new gaskets and all. There are instructions included in the kit (but very basic).

BTW, fill out your vehicle profile, it'll help anyone responding to any of your questions have an easier time (since they'll know what they're dealing with).

Thanks for the info. It is a 1993 Eagle Talon TSi (FWD) that I am looking to purchase with a 123k miles. I was hoping to just install the water pump call it a day, but from my research it sounds like it is time for a timing belt too. The timing belt was replaced at the 60,000 mile point.

Mist3r spool did you just install the water pump, or did you also change the timing belt and tensioners while changing the water pump?

Well, I had about 130K on all my timing components + the water pump. I changed:

Water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner pulley, auto (hydraulic) tensioner, idler pulley, and removed the balance shafts. If you do not remove your balance shafts, you'll need to replace the balance shaft belt and balance shaft tensioner as well. I noticed that my balance shaft belt was cracking and ready to snap whereas the timing belt was still in useable condition. You definitely do not want a balance shaft belt to snap and tangle itself into your timing belt. Also, VFAQ explains how to test your auto tensioner to see if it needs replacement or not...I just replaced it all since I didn't do the recommended 60K swap.
