Water Pipe Not Long ENough????

hey guys doin the 1g head swap. purchased the 3 bolt 1g thermostat housing and the water pipe. it came off a 92 eclipse from local junk yard. the thermostat seems like right one but when i try and put in water pipe with water pump the thinner line on water pipe hits side of block. do i need a 1g 7 bolt pump or did i get wrong pipe? also what do i do with the line that was going to the oil pump since the new water pipe doesnt have the nipple there. any help would be appreciated.

ohhh forgot to mention i assume i should plug the coolant hole on the block that i was using on 2g pipe.

You need to get the water pipe off of a later model 1g. The water pipe that you have doesn't have the fitting that goes to the oil pump because those years of DSMs had air cooled oil coolers and the later ones were water cooled.

I wouldn't suggest putting in a fitting of your own, just take a look around at some of the junkyards for another water pipe.
