ok ill try to explain this as best as possible, would be great if i had a digital camera but im poor since i own a dsm. anyway to point.
Ok Im doing a 1g head swap and its bolted up except for water pipe. I went to local junk yard and bought a 92 eclipse nt water pipe. it bolted up after a lil bending but ran into a few problems. no oil cooler nipple and it sticks out from block (like 1.5 inches) too much to let my pte 60-1 turbo fit. I dont think I could beat it in that much like i did with my 2g pipe. I was told i needed a turbo pipe so it could give coolant to oil cooler but then i would still be stuck with the pipe hitting turbo because it not hugging block like 2g pipe.
So I figured maybe this is another route I could go. I get my existing pipe that routes back to thermostat. I cut the pipe right after the bracket that holds it in place with block. That way i could still have the oil coolant nippe and i could connect the end of pipe to bottom of radiator and best of all have enough space so it wont hit turbo since its snug to block. The oil coolant will still reroute like stock.
Now here is the more difficult part. The thinner piece on pipe would be cut of course. So i was doing my thinking and thougt since the 1g thermostat housing has more holes than i needed on my 2g, i could just get a threaded nipple from home depot and just thread one on there (or two) so I could get coolant to throttle body and heater core( I think thats the two places it heads to).
From my thoughts I figured I could make it work but I want to know your opinions and if I would run into trouble.
