I was wondering what setup would be best for me when it comes water injection. I have decided on running washer fluid. I didn't know what size of pump or injector to get. I would like to be running in the 25psi range after I am done. Here is a website that I was going to purchase it off of. What injector would you recommend, M11?

When it came to mounting, did anyone mount the pump in the trunk and tap into the stock washer fluid bottle if so can I have some ideas on the placement or pictures. What did you use to tap the jug?

I think that is all my questions thanks for your help,

this may get closed but do a search on just "water injection" and 5 pages will come up. happy reading

Quick Formula for injectors is:
(injector size x IDC) x # of injectors
x % of water/alchy injected

(450cc x .9) X 4 = 1620
* .15 for H20 = 243cc

Water should caculate out to 15-25%. Meth, around 25-50%..

I just finished up my Coolingmist 150 psi install last week. I originaly taped my 2g winsheild washer tank under the tire in between the two black pumps on the bottem with a small fitting with some plastic glue. JB weld sucks on plastic. Dave at Coolingmist suggested the pump be under the tank. So I decited for ease to buy a $39 one gallon tank with LED float for $59. I screwed the tank into the back of the driverside rear seat, ran the water line to the pump mounted under the spare tire in the hatch. If you havn't already bought an injection kit I strongly suggest David at Coolingmist. I had my 100psi Shurflo pump fail right after I installed it, he sent me a 150psi black shurflow pump, free.. When I went to install that pump my friend used tephlon tape on the brass fitting and cracked the plastic. Dave sent me ANOTHER 150psi I pump and new quick release fittings for the cost of shipping and didn't ask for the pump back... Thats customer service!! Highly recomended!

I'm almost positive that I'm going with engine runup. My injectors are 680's and my idc right now is 77.4. I'm planning on running meth water 50/50 mix so .25 injection. Knowing all of this and doing the calculation it comes to 265.2. Wouldn't the m4 be plenty or would it be smart to move up to the m5?

My other question is how do you control the flow coming out because even with the the m4 I'm going to be flowing more than .25 won't I?

Or would you recommend getting an m4 and an m5 and just mount the bigger one closer to the elbow?

I have been running a EngineRunup two stage 150 psi setup with two M2 nozzles for the first stage and a M3 for the second stage. I set the activation points at 8psi and 14psi for racing and such.

Do not overestimate your nozzle size or you will hurt performance more then help and you will end up bogging instead of building power. EngineRunup has a nozzle chart to help you figure out what you need, I would not suggest going more then one nozzle size over what you think you have.

Pure strait washer fluid has worked just fine for me over the last 3 months. Go with the cheap ass $0.99 a bottle crap you see at gas stations as they are almost always a 50/50 mix of water and meth with no other cleaners or chemicals added.

I to used the stock windhsield washer fluid tank but I tapped the back side of it on the bottom so acceleration force pushes the fluid to the inlet kinda like a sump on a fuel cell. I get about 7 good drag runs per gallon of the blue stuff or about a gallon per tank of gas depending on how spirited I have been driving.

My pump is on the front side of that brace the washer fluid tank bolts to, I do not have a spare tire so no conflicts for room.

I would not suggest going over 60% meth due to the low flash point of meth. At about 65% meth will ignite from high intake temps and hot engine parts.

You also have to consider the electrical properties of meth, it will cause a di-electric issue with the different types of aluminum used in the intake and cyl head. You do not want to wash out the runners in your intake manny or eat the throttlebody because you went a hair to high on the ratio.

I would strongly suggest the Cooling Mist 150psi kit. And you should be fine running plain old washer fluid. Dave at Cooling Mist is quite knowledgable. If you wanna drop some extra cash, get his new variable controller.
