Want to build a 2g DSM

Hey all. Ive been around for a couple years on here just out of interest, never actually owning a one


Right now I drive an 02 neon R/T, great car but not the love of my life. Im also in Canada so 2nd gen eclipses are very rare here (due to them never being sold).

what I want to know is would it be worth it to buy a 97-99 eclipse shell, either from the wreakers or a really cheap RS with a ton of miles, then buy and build up a GST/TSI engine for a while an drop it in. I know the swap is not a direct bolt in, but it is possible correct? (within reason).


Ill be keeping the neon for the next 2-3 years and this would be more of a project for the time being.

it is possible. it is also very expensive.

if you're planning to build a motor.. please get a 6bolt [ 1g ]

Canada had 2g talons, just no Eclipses any years.

if you'll be going to all this trouble... why not make the rs/gs (assuming you acquire a nt shell) into a rwd? i wouldn't suggest it, but you seem to be willing to spend some time on this before it's done.
