2G Walbro Vs Deatschwerks 255lph Fuel Pumps

So my Walbro 255's are on their way out, on both my Evo and my Eclipse, giving me lots of trouble with the heat we've been having. Does anyone have any experience with the Deatschwerks fuel pumps? I've read lots of reviews pertaining to other cars but not really many for Evo's or DSM's. Just not sure if I should try something new or stick to what I've used on all my cars for fp's since I was sixteen. Thanks.

I personally use Walbro on everything but have friends with Deatschwerks and they've worked just fine. The question is, why are your pumps failing due to heat? Is it ambient heat or are you talking about wire heat? Have you tried using larger gauge wire and a relay to disperse some of that heat?

The reason I ask is because I can't help but noticing you live in Alaska. I'm from an eternally tropical climate and have never had a heat buildup issue with my Walbro pumps even on my race car unless I was using too thin of a gauge wire.

I've always used Walbro 255 pumps, but they have never worked great in the long run. Have had many go bad after a year or two and decided to try the DW300 pump and couldn't be happier so far. It's as quiet as a stock pump without any of the annoying "whine" noise the 255 pumps have.

All my subie friends use deatsh with know issues. I love my fp 255 pump nice a quite . My other reg walbros are so dang nosiy hate it.

I live in Edmonton, Alberta. It wouldn't let me select any Canadian provinces. My Eclipse is hard wired with very thick wire. Evo is running stock wiring. I think the pumps are just tired, and the heat doesn't help.

DW pumps are great. I've had them in my eclipse and my subie with no issues at all. And very quiet. Walbros are known to be noisy and whiny.

Yeah a lot of Subie guys are running them. I have one in my Talon and no issues

My DW300 is perfect. Silent and provides enough fuel for my needs. Plus the warranty and customer service is unmatched.

So I ordered two DW200's. Hopefully they just bolt right up. I'll give a review once I've had it in for a bit.

I don't see me ever making over 400whp in either car honestly, just felt it unnecessary to get such a high flow rate. Also was buying two of them so a little extra money and the Canadian dollar is so bad.
