Ok my fuel pump went out and my tank was totally rusted and cruddy inside from sitting for several years. I got the tank all cleaned and sealed with POR 15 tank sealer kit. It was a lot of work but damn it looks really good. Anyway, I purchased the Walbro 255 fuel pump from ebay and now that I'm ready to install it it doesn't fit as an exact replacement. The pump needs some type of support to keep it straight in the original pump position on the bracket. Like it needs some type of mount to go between the pump and the metal arm that holds the pump. Was I supposed to get something for that in the install kit??? I already didn't get the clip that holds the filter on the pump  I have been looking online and haven't found anyone fabbing anything for that problem and really no one talking about any problems installing on the 1g 1990 eclipse turbo so Im wondering if I didn't get everything. As it is the pump looks new but it didn't come in the original box, just in a USPS box with everything in plastic.

My other question was will I need a fuel pump regulator for this size pump since Im going from stock to the 255? If so any recomendations without blowing a budget. I've seen them from $25 to 300.

It would be great if someone has pics of there 1g setup with the pump installed or a link to a good install write up. I'm hoping to get the car fired up for the first time in at least 5 years this weekend.

Thanks in advance!:thumb:

Thanks for the link. That was exactly what I was looking for. One other question. Do I have to get the pressure regulator to run the car or will that cause other problems. The reason I ask is because the car is actually wrecked so I'm trying to get it running so I can get it to a body shop. From the look of things it will cost me around $250 for the regulator setup. Once I get some extra cash and get the body work done I can start doing more tuning on it. So will it be a problem to run it without the regulator if Im just putting around in it?

Ok, thanks for the advice. I don't plan on getting on the gas anytime soon. I still have to find a radiator and get the body work done. I just need it running to get some estimates.
