Vortech FMU Question

hello guys i have 2 questions.. I was wondering if the front bumper of a 99 eclipse will fit a 1995 eagle talon???

second questions is that my 95 eagle talon ESI has a VORTECH FMU installed, my talon used to be supercharged but not anymore so that will be a problem for my engine? (everything it is removed except the FMU from VORTECH.)

because... whenever i step too hard on the pedal it feels that the engine is struggling. maybe because the VORTECH FMU increased the pressure from 35psi to 45psi?? maybe the engine it is shocking? too much fuel? or bad fuel pressure regulator?

Yes the 97-99 bumper will fit, you will need change the headlights to the 97-99 eclipse ones. Please search next time.

Why would you not remove the FMU, You know it's not suppose to be there! Seams easier than make a thread about it..

The unit increases fuel pressure in proportion to boost pressure. Your engine should never be in positive pressure. I would still remove it.

i just removed it and there was no difference.. maybe because the fuel regulator is working properly..

so the air hose that used to be connected to the top of the fmu vortech goes from the plenum to the egr valve right?
i'm asking because the egr valve has a 1 inch tube standing alone.. any ideas?

The FMU should not have had any effects on your fuel pressure without boost. Since you have already removed it and nothing has changed I would start to think that there might be another problem somewhere else. Any check engine lights on?

yeah the check engine is on.. i took it to autozone but they told me that the device couldn't read the computer codes of my car.. i know that their device works on 96 and up models but my 95 talon it's exactly the same of a 96.. so maybe there is a big issue somewhere. I am going to take it to local shop.
