Voltage for battery and alternator

I just got my new alternator in and checked the volts for the battery and alternator...the battery reads 13.9-14.2 and the alternator reads 14.3-14.7...is it normal for the alternator to have higher volts than the battery??

yes it is normal. You are going to get a very small amount of voltage drop through all the cables and wires running through the vehicle.
