You should post up this event info HERE in the events section. There is a lot of DSMs in the VA Beach area that go to this site and I know would be interested. Plus if you need our help we are always willing to help out.

If you post it and notice there are not very many members and posts its because our host just lost our whole site including our database so we have to start from scratch. So everyone will be reregistering soon.

Let us know if there is anything you want us to take care of!

I will post up the link on sova, but those in the VA Beach area should join the sovadsm forum and join in on our events and meets. It will pick back up very soon I promise you.

Anyways I will start looking into some places and let you know.

Ill be up for a May even. Sundays are preferable for me as I dont have to work. We need to set a date soon so I can ask off of work if its any other day then Sunday

And Id suggest something outside of the VA Beach area. The cops there are horrible and would pull all of us over and ticket us with illegal exhaust haha!

Downtown Norfolk would be cool, I know they have Corvette meets waterside. Not sure what all goes into the planning and setting up of their meets, but would be a sweet location and the cops in Norfolk are much better.

It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to make it up there to scout things out. I'd really like to see some locals step up for a change and do just a little leg work here to make things happen for us again.

Yah man, no need to scout things out. We have 10 or so local memebers of VA Beach on the SOVA board. We just need to decide on a date and the place can be figured out pretty easily.

Well, I can't belive I'm back on this board, but since I am moving to Virginia Beach I figure I should get to know some of the locals. If the meet ends up on the 17th I will be there unless I end up on deployment. Is there a local board, like the o'l Club DSM affiliates, that is currently active? Hope to see many of you there!

Yes its sovadsm.com. Its made up of a lot of southern virginia members, but we also have a mix of some northern va and NC members too.

Um, I know there's a few more DSM boards popping up here in the SE but honestly don't you think the details about an annual meet started and continued by DSMTuners members ought to be hashed out over here and then all the other forums made aware? I by no means don't want to start a pissing contest but I'm only a member on two DSM sites. My state and here. I really wouldn't want to have to register on 48 different sites to be brought up to speed on things. Wouldn't you agree?

I totally agree. The idea was started by us here and should remain on dsmtuners. Obviously it doesn't matter if other dsm's from other forums want to join in, but discussions and decisions should be made here.

The way we've always done the meets is the more people the better. However, we do lots of photos while driving around, at parking lots and at photo shoot venues. So far we've not had problems with non-DSMers that were WITH us having a problem staying out of the pics. We've also not had any rivalry issues as well but just to emphasize this IS a DSM meet and we would hope they would understand these desires.
