You won in ST index? Congrats, that's not something I hear of our cars doing very often. As far as I've seen, those classes are usually pretty brutal.

Not a Street Touring index; that'd be impossible for me in stx which I've given up for now. I'm in a street tire index class for only sp/sm.

Regardless, it takes quite a lot. A friend of mine had a Stealth R/T he ran in SM-T and placed 7th last season while having put down multiple FTDs.

the fast sp/sm guys in my region run r comps in open classes; I greatly prefer street tire convenience and cost. They're easier on the car too =).

I'm of the same opinion, but I'd never run street tire index in my region. Way too competitive. At least I could run in the middle of SM on stock suspension last season... Street tire? Likely dead last or very close to.

I'm greatly looking forward to next season now that the car's dropped and I'll be on decent summer rubber. And hopefully I'll have finished the rest of my setup by then, too.
