Not a fun post but I'm needing some help diagnosing a very weird knocking sound coming from my recently rebuilt engine.

6 bolt, 2g head, wiseco Pistons, k1 eagle h beam, rest of the internals are factory.

Rebuilt myself and besides refining the tune it's been running great as I've been putting miles on it. Stock timing tables just been getting afr where I need it.

Just hit 1k miles since the rebuild and after about 800 you could hear a VERY quiet knocking sound from the engine but only at idle. So quiet you almost don't know if you actually hear it, it's hard to explain. But recently it's been getting slightly louder which has kinda forced me to park it til I can investigate further or cause more damage.

Also my magnetic drain bolt has yet to find any metal so maybe it isn't the bearings or I caught it before it destroyed something?

I'll link a video or two hopefully someone can pick up on the knocking but its difficult.

First video you can hear it while I'm over the power steering pump area, second video is looking at the driver's side wheel, which is where it's the loudest.

Any help is greatly appreciated 👍

A magnet won't pickup aluminum bearing. Instead cut open your oil filter and drain/inspect the oil.

I'm not able to hear it but HLAs or a loose timing belt tensioner can also tick.
