Valve Seals maybe.....

After reading and search for the past 2 days... I think I have a problem with my valve seals... the problem is lots of smoke out the exhaust...

-my car is a 97' GST with 94k on it.. only mods are exhuast and intake...
-thinkings checked... compression is 165/165/160/165
-turbo shaft play is fine with little to no oil in lower IC piping
-LOTS OF OIL IN THE EXHAUST RUNNERS ON 3 CYCLENERS
-with the header off i can see a little bit of oil on the valves running down on one cyclender

Here are a few pic's.... Can anyone point me in to the direction of a How-To change my valve seals... I have searched and not found anything...

Ouch, that definitely does look like it may be culprit. There's a guide that you can reference here:

Go to the "Engine" section and you'll see a listing for valve seal replacement. I'll caution you in advance that if you don't have the right tools or mechanical knowledge to have this done by a machine shop. It shouldn't be that much either.

Yeah its almost easier to pull the head and have a machine shop do it. Usually it runs about $225 to get a head rebuit including valve stem seals and a valve job.

yea... I called the dealer and they want $1200 to do it.... books says its an 11 hour job, another local shop wants $650 to do it... both to be done with the head on the motor.... and $200 in parts if i do it myself... but i have never done inturnel work before... little worried
