Sadly, I think I will be selling my DSM in a few months. I love the car, but it's really up there in miles, and I want to get something a little newer. I'm looking at an EVO if I can afford it, or more likely, an SRT4.
Anyway, I have looked around at various DSMs up for sale on this site, DSMtrader, eBay, etc. It is hard to find any that match what I have close enough to make comparisons. Most of them are modded way beyond what I have done, and most have fewer miles.
My car has 143K (Probably more like 145K by the time I sell it) on it. Mods are in my profile. The timing belt, water pump, and accessory pullies and seals were all done about 1K miles ago. Head gasket was also replaced at that time.
The bad:
Mechanically, the car is actually in pretty good shape. The only issue is that the heater core is leaking. I am currently routing around it. In terms of the body, the car has one fogged headlight, but it still passed inspection several months ago. Tires have some tread, though they aren't new by any means (Maybe 50% or so). Windshield wiper fluid doesn't spray. There is a crack in the windshield. The driver's side door doesn't lock. In terms of the body, there are some cuts on bruises on it, nothing horribly glaring though. The most notable item is a "gash" in the paint on the rear bumper.
I may try and fix the windshield and door lock. Possibly the heater core too, though I hear that is a total bi***.
So, what do you think I could get for it? I was thinking something like 3K. The KBB private party value in fair condition is 3,460. There is definitely a few grand in mods in the car.
