Using GM IAT with HKS VPC?

Well, i picked up a VPC/AFC to replace my stolen emanage. It came with all except the IAT, i'm just wondering if it would be possible to use a standard GM IAT 10 bucks and available today, or will i have to bit the bullet and just buy the HKS VPC IAT, which is 70 bucks once all is said and done.

I'm about to switch from 2Gmas/safc to vpc/afc. Looking for the same answer(s).
