Upgraded Turbo Question

I just upgraded from a stock 2g turbo to a 16g. I have both upper and lower intercooler piping. The lower piping obviously does not fit on the 16g turbo. I was wondering if there is a elbow i could buy so i could still use my old lower intercooler pipe, or if i need to buy a completely new lower pipe. If i do need to get a new pipe, whats a good pipe to get? If it helps at all, i have injen intercooler piping. Please let me know what i should do. thanks.

You can clock the 16 to better fit your i/c piping.
 
If i bought a j pipe, would i be able to hook that up to the intercooler pipe i have? Now that i think about it, im not sure if the i/c piping i have is injen, but its hard metal after market piping. Either way, would a j pipe fit on it?
 
you willl need the j pipe and a 90 degree silcon coupler, or weld on some more pipe to your existing lower ic pipe
 
+1 on RRE's piping.

The only bad thing I have to say about it, and it's only applicable now that I'm doing something else to the system, is that it curves more towards the passenger side than other J-pipes I've seen. This puts the outlet of the J on the left of the wategate can, motor mount, fan, turbo, etc. When trying to get pipes to go to the driver's side for a FMIC application, it makes it more difficult than had it been dropped straight down like some J-pipes I've seen. But that's my only beef with it.

The good thing about it is that it comes with a nipple attached for a boost source for your MBC, which is where you should be tapping for it. :)

Exactly, if you want to run a FMIC setup your best to go with the Dejon Tool jpipe which exits on the drivers side of the front torque mount. Makes the exit in the std 20g, 50 trim, etc. location for a direct bolt up.
 
yeah, i only have a stock side mount. I found someone on here to sell me a lower i/c pipe replacement for a 16g with j pipe, so i hope this works for me.
