Made a little progress. Pulled the dash out to get the blower crap out of there finally. Also got rid of all the sound deadening to prep for the cage (which is in the mail) as well as the paint for the interior. Also picked a color for the cage.:hellyeah:

Oh and with the blower box and sound deadening, we dropped another 45lbs.

Also dug up a couple pics from when the car was all the way together.

Just finished making our shifter almost 1/2" shorter and it has a solid brass bushing where the shifter slides onto the rod of the base plate now instead of those flimsy plastic ones. Working on solid mounts to bolt the base plate to the tunnel next.

Here's the finished product.

Also Pulled a quarter window. I would not suggest this to anyone. It had so much sealant on it an my hands are completely covered in crap now. I just pulled it so we can get a better paint job and also so we can reach in to weld the upper bars on the cage.

I'm going to start the body work on this pile pretty soon. Its hard to get motivated to do it when I already do it all week on other peoples cars. We plan on having the cage installed and painted within 2 weeks as well as the interior of the car painted.

Lastly, we are getting ready to pull the rear subframe to clean it up and install our new LSD 4 bolt rear which is in the process of being cleaned up right now.

Is this a 90 or 91? I was wondering if the bushings for the shifter were a one off or just something you managed to find at a hardware store?

I'm hella dumb its a 91 but I'm still wondering about the bushings.

We actually turned the bushing on a lathe. I can take a picture if you'd like.

We made the bushing out of a solid brass rod on a lathe. We made solid mounts for the shifter base today. I can already tell this thing is going to feel amazing to shift.

Fuel cell, seats, window net, and battery shut off are on the way. Expect the interior to be painted, cage painted, fuel cell mocked up, window net installed, and hopefully the 4 bolt in by the next update!:thumb:
