Hello first I'd like to list my mods on my 90 AWD TSI talon : 3 inch turboback Apexi n1 exhaust which doesn't have a cat, RFL BOV vented to atmosphere with plugged intake cap, homemade boost controller at a stock setting ( currently at 15 psi after free mods), ACT 2600 Clutch.

Next is the actual problem, sometimes during WOT the car will sound like it blows up which I am assuming is fuel cut but I don't understand why it would be that. I checked my oil level and it was high, it looked as if someone added a quart of oil extra so it was about 1/4-1/2 more than it should be. My thought was that it had to do with the venting of the BOV and pure exhaust straight through so my question is if you agree that it is fuel cut and what -I- should do about it. I am saying what is more important, blow-thru / fuel/ or what. Thanks in advance :talon:

when fuel cut use to hit on my car I would almost bite the steering wheel, fuel cut is noticable and aggresive. If your car stumbles, like quick jerks, at WOT check your plugs or just replace them, at $1.80 ea at NAPA for the BPR6ES's grab a few, gap them and see if its still a problem. Sounds like the problem to me.

Hmm thanks anyone else think its simply just my plugs?

I had the same prob on my old gvr4 it was a combo of plugs and my rfl leaking and sucking in air i cut the horn off put the recirc tube back on, popped the plugs they were old, replaced them, with the ngk's stated above and it ran like a champ, untill i decided to race a cobra,27 psi on 450's LOL i was such a newbie back then LOL. what an idiot ROFL

Hmmm changed my plugs and also put stock recirc. BOV back on and it is still running rich and hitting whatever it is hitting. What should I look for next?

Boost leak is one of the most common causes for hitting fuel cut, make sure you recirculate the BOV as well.

If the plugs didn't help out, maybe it's time for ignition wires too. I recently had the exact same problem on my 2g, plugs and wires solved my bucking popping beast of a problem. :rocks:
