2G Small backfires during WOT pull

During a WOT pull I will start to hear backfires from the exhaust, the car keeps pulling hard all the way through but I'm worried that its not safe. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated!

Alright! I’m running NGK7s gapped at .028 currently.

Lowered gap to .025 and seems to be perfect to 7k

Are u running ngk bpr7es? If so, changing to a non protruding plug might help as well with spark blow out. Br7es.

Yes I currently have the NGKBPR7ES and I gapped them down to .025 and haven't seen the same problem yet with moderate pulls and a dig to 80. I'll have to hit the highway to really see if its fixed... But I did pick up some NGKBPR8ES just in case. Just doesn't seem like two stages colder would be ideal with my current setup

I agree, change to BR7ES and gap them lower. I typically run anywhere from 0.019-0.025 depending on the amount of boost.

I had the same problem. switched to non protruding plugs and gapped them at 0.025 and it went away.
