To the OP, I hope you don't think I hi-jacked your post but I just wanted to set some details down for the meet. I hope you don't mind. Here we go.

Aight this is here just to clarify with everyone what the exact meet time is so there is no confusion and that it is scheduled to make it easier for people to be able to make it. Please correct me if I'm wrong, have any suggestions or any issues you might have at all. So here it is

Union Landing Shopping Center in Union City, C.A. 94587

I'm guessing everyone knows how to get here, if not just lemme know and I'll make sure to post the full directions for everyone.

Here are some very vague directions. You are going to want to somehow get onto 880 South or 880 North depending where you are coming from (Unless you live in the areas of Union City or Hayward) and exit Whipple Rd. Make a left at the light onto Dyer St (This works for either side of the freeway you come from. Keep going straight. You'll see the Union Landing Shopping Center on your left hand side.. If you don't, just look for the Hollywood Video on your left and that's the center.

I don't know where in the parking lot everyone wants to meet, but the area adjacent to the road near Hollywood and Jollibee has a lot of spots. That would be the best area to meet IMO. The parking slots adjacent to the street are usually never filled, so that would fit our cars nicely and is also away from the shopping area, so that we don't disrupt those people driving through the parking lot and is safer for our cars. Anyone is welcome to attend regardless of what kind of car you drive (I personally would like to see lots of DSM's though both turbo as well as NA ones,) but if you have friends that drive other cars, feel free to invite them as well. All we ask is that you don't drive into the area recklessly or do anything that would bring unwanted attention to us. The last thing we need is cops coming to harass us, which would make it even harder to have a meet at all, also turning people away from coming to meet with us because they don't want to deal with drama.

So please no burnouts, unneccessary revving or anything of that nature while you are in the parking lot. This meet is so that we can all gather, talk about our cars and just enjoy ourselves.

Also since the meet time will be at 7 PM on a Sunday, if you somehow haven't eaten there are some good choices to eat within the area. There's Jollibee which is a Filipino fast food restaurant that serves Fried Chicken, burgers, Spaghetti, Pancit and other items. A 24 hr IHOP is on the other side of the parking lot. There is also a Japanese and Chinese restaurant in the parking lot. If you want burgers, there's a Fuddruckers near Starbucks (You can try a Ostrich burger there if you want) and In and Out on the other side of the center near Lowe's. If you would like to go to a sitdown spot, there's the Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse (famous for all the peanuts you can eat and you get to throw the shells on the floor and they make a pretty good steak as well) and also a TGI Fridays one light down. Also for those that bring their wives or girlfriends, there is a Baskin Robbins and Krispy Kreme to satisfy their sweet toothes if they have them. Also there's a Starbucks for all you coffee addicts .

There is a movie theater for those that want to watch a movie as well. Down the street about a light away is also I-Fly (An indoor skydiving place so you can experience skydiving without actually jumping out of a plane )

I'm just mentioning all these spots if you are hungry and or are trying to convince someone to come here. Especially if you plan on driving here from a different area. You can take them out to do something fun for both of you or your family, have dinner, and then come to the meet so that they can be happy and you can come hang out with us as well. Spending time with them and meeting with other DSM'ers FTW

I'm so excited that we are having a meet for all the Bay Area DSM'ers. It's about time we all hang out and chill. The Bay Area DSM group needs to be revived again. Hope to see you all there.

Oh and one more thing, if there is someone that has a good camera can you bring it so we can get some shots of our cars for the page, that would be off the hook. Okay well I don't want to keep blabbing on and on, so I'll see all you peoples later on. Peace out for now

Friend just let me know what was up. My car has so many things broken on it, not even funny. It is untuned but sitll drives, although sounds like crap.

As for the cops, I go their in my dsm all the time, that is the movie theatre, that is the walmart, that is like the "place to go" in the fremont area. Cops are meh.. on a sunday the Union City police station is closed besides a dispatcher, and trying to find a cop mid day on a sunday took me 4 hours to finally flag one down for a fix it ticket with a friends head light.

It is a whole other story with a dozen DSMs rolling up on a parking lot. I am pretty sure we will get booted for loitering, especially if we are all just standing around and not eating or whatever, so I would say someone better get manager's permission to meet up. I see car meets there all the time tho, on Sundays it is usually old guy's with thier hot rods and Old school Fords, so perhaps we will get away with it.

I live one exit away, I will most deffinatly swing by.

We actually had a somewhat decent turnout. I'm pretty sure only 2 guys didn't show so, I'd say it went okay. I left before everyone else though. Pekkle has a much better camera so the good pics should be up later.

Hey everyone,
Thanks to all that showed up tonight. I can honestly say that this meet was a success considering how we usually don't come chill like this. We had a total of 7 DSM's come out tonight. I was the only one that was a NT . That silver 2GB GSX was super clean and bone stock. Was a shock and we should of got a shot of the motor that was stock hehe. It was all good as everyone seemed to be in good spirits even though it was cold as hell.

We also had 2 Civics and 1 Mustang GT come as well. Silverbullet got a few shots of the DSM's and Pekkle took some as well, so hopefully we'll see those on here soon.

Thank you all for coming out again. I was thinking maybe we could make this meet a once a month thing so that it can make it easier for those that have to drive far to get to it. Plus with a weekly meet, the attendance varies, so I think it would be better if it was 1 big meet a month. This seems to be a lot more feasible. Maybe we could even meet up to have dinner or just go out and do something while were all kickin it.

If anyone has a date and time to pick for the next one, feel free to chime in.

I have a teaser shot that came out like crap and didn't fit everyone it, but here it is. I'm sorry I have a crappy camera phone and couldn't fit everyone in either. Hopefully either Silverbullet or Pekkle will upload their shots for us to see.
