I was looking at my tires last night which only have about 2000km on them and are in perfect condition except for the insides of the tires which are worn out! Now i was wondering what i need to do to correct my problem? Do i have a camber or a toe problem.

Yes. Anytime you lower your car beyond a certain point you need a camber kit just so it can be properly aligned. You should also always get a 4 wheel alignment done after lowering your car. When was the last time you had a 4 wheel alignment and how much did you lower it? Unfortuantly now that your tires are worn unevenly even if you get it aligned properly the tires will probably throw off your alignment again.

That kit should work well for the front and the price is good. How do the rear tires look? The rear camber is supposed to be thrown off alot more then the front when you lower your car. Also did the shop that aligned your car even bother to tell you that they couldn't get it in spec? It should've been impossible for align it properly, so if they had told you then that they couldn't it could've saved your tires.

Lowering a 1G FWD changes hardly anything in the rear because of its design. In fact, they don't even make camber kits for them. Also, I don't believe the rear can be adjusted at all.

So this is after a good amount of time since you had it aligned? You have changed nothing else after that time to affect the alignment? The aftermarket camber adjustment stuff works but I think it's how they set your alignment last time you had it done.

well i recently changed my axles and i took out my camber bolt(stock) to get the nuckle off the strut.

I work at Sears auto, just lowered my 2g gst. My toe in the front is out and also my camber in the rear is out about 2 degrees. Always have your alignment checked every 6 months or so. Anything can knock your alignment out. Just hitting potholes knocks it out. If you start to notice tire wear on the inside or outside have your alignment checked. There are ways to fix camber and caster. Sears we carry shims that we use to bring it back out. Just get to know your local person and gain their trust. Since ive worked with the guys I know how good they are. If your tires arent worn too bad, rotate them and hopefully you can save them. IF not then they are legally bald. Get a a good tire depth gauge. Good Luck PM me if you have any questions.
