Uneven spark plug wear normal?

I have a heavily modified 97 spyder with a 4G63-T engine. Which includes a stroker kit and .20 overbored cylinders. The car has sat for nearly a year but i have been driving it for the past 2 weeks with only one problem.

A couple days ago when I went to start my car it had a really bad idle and almost sounded as if it wasent running on all 4 cylinders. Before i could figure out what was wrong, the problem went away and the idle smoothed out in a matter of 2 mins or less. The same happened that evening when i got ready to drive home.

When I got there I pulled the spark plugs and in order from right to left (cylinders 1-4) the condition of my spark plugs were gradually worse than the plug before it. Cylinder 1 looked darn near new while cylinder 4 looked like it was ready to be changed. I decided to try and reverse the order that the plugs were in so that the best plug was in the worst cylinder (putting cylinder 1's plug in cylinder 4, 2 into 3 etc..) and the problem has not come back.

These plugs are over a year old but they do not have more than 200 miles on them and I am wondering if uneven wear from cylinder 1 to cylinder 4 is normal or if i have some internal problems.

Honestly I wouldn't think to much of this, I would just replace the plugs and then look into causes of what could be causing of this if the issues come back. You have to keep in mind these things are made by machines and thousands are produced every day, bad spark plugs can happen. Dont forget to check your wires though and make sure their fine. The plugs and wires for these cars are relativity cheap so I just replace them both every 6 months.

Yeah, I was going to say the plug wires get longer from right to left (increased resistance from right to left). You could replace or upgrade the wires and probably see some benefit, especially if they are old, since resistance increases in wires over time.
