####,
I was hoping someone could help me understand why you get more knock the higher gear you are in. I have noticed when i make a pull in second gear i only get like one or two knock counts but i make a pull in third gear and i can see as many as 12 counts of knock.

thanks
db

the higher gear the mre load on the engine. the harder it has to work

And to add to this, higher gears also tend to cause ic heatsoak which is another cause of knock. Either you are running too much boost with your ic or you are runnning too lean to accomodate the increased load on the engine in higher gears.
