As far as I know, they're legal parked, illegal if driving. I don't understand how some of you got tickets parked. I doubt you were on a city owned parking lot when you got the ticket.

yeah! I love LED's! My front looks like that, after I had a bad run in with a curb.... Still works. I just pulled the lights out, and replaced the lexon tubing, and good as new!

This is my front bulb after my little collision. It's busted up pretty bad, but it still works. This is why the LED kits are better. They can look like this and still function, whereas the old bulbs would get a little crack and stop working.

I looked into this extensively for the state of MI. Driving with the underbody kits on is illegal. Using them while "off-road" is legal. We are only allowed to have clear or orange light emmitting from the front of the car. White light from the sides, and red from the rear. So, technically, if you were using a mixed kit, it could be legal, but IMO, it would look ghay. Many states I drive through allow them in any color (last I checked). I always have mine on when I'm in IL and IN. Just thought I'd share that stuff.

Technically the way that law is written, as long as you cannot see the bulb anywhere on the car(without getting under the car), the light is being emmitted under the car, not to the front, sides, or rear..

Actually I had a post in the Handout about it. My bumber is OK, because it's urethane. It just need paint. I'm going to sell it though. It also ruined my FMIC. My insurance wrote me a fat check. I'm waiting on my SBR FMIC to come in and I'm in the market for a new style front bumper.

it is illeagal in Va. but when i went down to florida a while back they said it is LEAGAL to have them... was down there for a while...local guys told me that... but i duno i dont do neons...but its whatever u are into...

here in oregon we put them on my buddies integra and i got a ticket for haveing them. well when i went to court i told the judge the light was in the engine bay and the bulb was not visiable from the front of the car.

i got out of the ticket so goood deal..

I live in NY and from what I understand from the law is here you can have your car emit light, but the bulb cannot be visible. There is a color restriction though, you can't have red or blue due to emergency vehicles or something like that.

Good rule of thumb: If you haven't been seeing it on the streets for years, it's probably not allowed. Or, like Bubb Rubb's whistle, will be outlawed as soon as it gets noticed.

If you live in New York, just driving an eclipse is illegal. Nevermind putting lights on them...

Actually now that i think about it, i have been ticketed for "operating a motor vehicle while being a teenager" and several of my friends have too. It sucks...

i want to get black light underbodies. i think they look nice and they are one of the few colors i like that won't cause a huge legal battle... i hope...

Blacklight underbodies? How would that work? I guess you could cause the white or yellow paint for the street lines to glow.

Unless you have a show setup with a UV reactive 'booth' blacklights wouldn't be very cool.

blacklight undercars will just make a purplish blue glow, and it "might" light up some road paint thats imediately under you.

again just dont drive with them on.

yeah they make the street lines glow and give off a bluish purplish glow... its nice. it also helps if you have a white car (which i do) it makes it glow.
