Uh oh...what does this wire do?

I was rerouting some wires in my engine bay and the wire that attaches to the power steering pump just detached from the main harness loom, . Nice!

I'm no wiring genius and I do not have my FSM nearby...anyone know what this is? It is the little yellow wire that has a cap on the end of it that attaches onto a "nubbin" on the power steering pump. Thanks!

It's the speed sensor to/fromthe ECU. Tells the power steering to pump harder at lower engine speeds. It's your variable power assist.

Reckon I'll just wire it directly to the EMS for now.
