First Question is in relation to my engine. I just bought my 99 Eclipse GS about 2 months ago so I'm still learning about it. The problem I am having is as follows: I went to change my plugs so I read 420A off the firewall and go buy plugs for a 420A to come to find out they are too small. So I go out a buy plugs for a 4G63 and they fit. So how do I figure out just what the hell my engine is LOL, 420A or 4G63. 4G63 is the spyder's engine if I've read correctly and my car is not a spyder. I ran my VIN on carfax just to make sure it was a GS and of course it is. Any Ideas? Tips?

Second Questions is regarding a Nitrous kit I am getting Thursday. I would just like to post what I am getting and get some feedback or any other parts/items I may need. Also note I do not plan on actually spraying until I have better plugs and a few mods made to the engine. As my car is mainly a show car I'm just after the purge effect, but I don't want to be able to spray maybe once or twice a month :) so here is the list:

1) R500 Venom Recluse Nitrous System
2) DynoTune Dual Outlet Purge System
3) Arming/Safety Switch
4) Nitrous Express 0-1500 PSI Gauge
5) NOS Wide open throttle switch

The Venom system comes with a 12oz nitrous tank. About how many shots could I get out of that, and what would the typical cost to charge that size of a tank? Also If I was to buy a 10lb Venom or NOS bottle would that bottle be able to hook up to the tubes that come with the R500 System? Thank you guys in advance for your help. :dsm:

Also my wireless entry system is kinda screwy. It will lock and panic. Will not unlock, and for you to lock it you have to be about 2ft from the car. I tried replacing the batteries in the remote but still same problem. Should I just bring it to a dealer?

Don't bump your own threads.

And post one question per thread. To answer the motor question, you should have a 420a. Search for 420A and spark plugs, I'm sure the part # exists on here somewhere. The store could have messed things up.

The Eclipse was available in seven trim levels: Base, RS, GS, GS Spyder, GS-T, GS-T Spyder, and GSX.

2nd Gen (95-99) cars:

* Eclipse: Base FWD model equipped with a 140hp 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Chrysler 420A engine

* Eclipse RS: Equipment Upgraded FWD model equipped with a 140hp 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Chrysler 420A engine

* Eclipse GS: Equipment upgraded FWD model equipped with a 140hp 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Chrysler 420A engine

* Eclipse GS Spyder: Convertible FWD model equipped with a 141hp 2.4l 16-valve SOHC Mitsubishi 4G64 engine

* Eclipse GS-T: Hardtop FWD model equipped with a 210hp turbocharged 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Mitsubishi 4G63 engine

* Eclipse GS-T Spyder: Convertible FWD model equipped with a 210hp turbocharged 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Mitsubishi 4G63 engine

* Eclipse GSX: AWD model equipped with a 210hp turbocharged 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Mitsubishi 4G63 engine

Don't bump your thread.

Also if you are still learning about your car and weren't even sure which engine you have or which spark plugs you should get, you shouldn't be anywhere near a nitrous kit.
